Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
The short version: Showlit edits your photos on your iPhone. It doesn't upload them, doesn't ask you to make an account, and doesn't use analytics or tracking. We don't collect personal data through the app.
Your photos and listings
Photos you take or import, their edits, and the listing details you enter (address, MLS, rooms) are stored in Showlit's private storage on your iPhone. All editing, including the scene analysis behind Polish, Window, Erase and Sky, runs on the device. Nothing is sent to us or to any other service.
Your photos leave the phone only when you choose to save, share or export them, for example to your photo library, AirDrop, Mail or the Files app. Exported photos carry a record of their edits in their metadata and never your location: Showlit removes GPS data on export.
Deleting a photo or a listing in Showlit removes it from the app's storage. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Like other app data, Showlit's storage can be included in your iPhone backups, depending on your backup settings.
Permissions
- Camera: to take listing photos in the guided camera.
- Photos (add only): to save exported photos to your library. Importing uses the system photo picker, which shares only the photos you pick.
- Motion: the level guide reads the phone's tilt while the camera is open. This stays on the device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Showlit receives only whether your Apple ID has an active subscription, to unlock Pro. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Diagnostics
iOS may give Showlit crash and performance reports (Apple's MetricKit), for example when the app quits unexpectedly. Showlit keeps them on your iPhone and never sends them on its own. If you choose “Share diagnostics” in Account, you decide where they go, usually to us when asking for help. They contain technical data about the app, not your photos or listing details.
If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in your iPhone's Analytics settings, Apple may also share crash reports with us, under Apple's privacy policy.
This website
This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It is served by Cloudflare, and its fonts load from Google Fonts. These services receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages, under their own privacy policies.
Children
Showlit is a tool for real estate professionals and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
Future versions may add optional online features, such as AI staging or a public page for original photos. If a feature would send your photos or data off the phone, we'll update this policy before it ships and the app will tell you before anything is sent.
